The Japan section, just like other sections, has become a bit of a popularity contest. Some people give certain users thumbs down even if they have a good answer. Other people chronically give thumbs down no matter what. It is really unfair. I think the thumbs down should be eliminated.

I don’t think you can have you cake & eat it too. You can find fun girls in clubs in places like Shinjuku and Ropponji. Many will be Chinese or Korean. Can you tell the difference ?
Finding a girlfriend or wife won’t be so easy in a short period of time. If you want easy try Thailand
or China.

Donna asks…
how much would i need if i want to travel to japan??
i am from australia, and plannin to saty in japan for a week, and wondering how much i would need to go there?
admin answers:
I spent the past year in Japan on a work assignment. I went over thinking everything would be expensive because that is always what I heard. It’s really no true. Tokyo can be a bit much but all other cities are similar to what I experience in the US. Somethings are better, somethings are worse. Check a site like frommers.com, they may have some good info on hotel rooms which will be your major expense. Also, if you are taking the shinkansen(high speed trains), it is best to buy tickets outside the country, they offer deals for tourists.

Susan asks…
I’m going to travel to Japan in a few weeks… can I moblog with Vodafone?
I will have the Unlimited Data and eMail plan, and I usually use Blogger, but I am wondering if there are any other, better options for moblogging. I believe my phone will support Java. Is this possible?

Yeah, you will be able to use data services in Japan, but you’ll be charged an arm and two legs for it in “International Data Roaming”. It can be as expensive as a pound for every KB you transfer (to give you an idea, the length of this answer I’m recording would probably be around 2 KB and could thus cost up to two pounds just to post a blog of this length, not to mention the size of the sites you would have to navigate through to access the moblog site). I would recommend just finding an Internet Cafe (they’re all over the place in Japan) and blogging from a computer, it’ll be a lot cheaper.
