Richard asks…
Do you think the promotions to Japan for cheap airplane tickets will continue through july?
There are cheap tickets for 400$ from CDN to JAP right through the end of june, but since there aren’t any ones left, do you think they would extend it till july?
admin answers:
Since it is a promotion, you never know. Maybe it is only good for the month of June. Find out who is doing the promotion and see if you can talk to someone there who can help you.

Mary asks…
Where can I find CHEAP tickets from NYC to Japan?
All the sites I go to say $2K and up. Does anyone have any advice?
admin answers:
*A standby is if you already have a ticket but wish to board another flight for whatever reason. Standbys cannot be done over the phone and almost always is done at the airport at the ticket gate.
If you are in NYC you should look at many of the Japanese travel agencies there such as HIS:

Another agency you should try is http://www.iace-usa.com/us/
Delta Airlines http://www.delta.com sometimes has pretty good deals into out of NYC if you take a look at them as well. Sometimes you might have to connect in Detroit or Minneapolis but the prices generally are reasonable. I flew NRT-JFK for under 1k.
Remember it also depends on when you are traveling, and how long you might be traveling for that determines the cost of a ticket. Generally autumns and winters are cheaper then springs and summers.

George asks…
Are cheap courier plane tickets available from the US to Japan?
I’m wondering where I can get really cheap tickets from Boston to Tokyo. I’ve heard of a couple of companies that provide access to courier tickets, but they charge membership fees and I’m not sure if they would be worthwhile. Thanks for any advice.

Your best bet is a travel agent. My friend contacted a travel agent in Japan and got a round trip ticket to New York for $600. I was shocked.
